About Me
A few months into my first career I was selected for the assignment of a lifetime! My company was an official partner of an experimental airplane project known as Solar Impulse 2: the world's first airplane to circumnavigate the globe using only the power of the sun. My job was to serve as an electrical engineer embedded on the ground crew of the solar-powered airplane.

My mind was racing as I packed my bags and headed to Hawaii to join the team. My journey with Solar Impulse was from Hawaii to the United Arab Emirates. I was the only female engineer, only American, and youngest member of the ground crew. This amazing experience pushed me far out of my comfort zone. I learned a lot about myself and how to work on an international team.

Solar Impulse 2 completed its "around the world" mission on July 26, 2016.  That night, when I stood on the airport runway in Abu Dhabi, I realized that the team was about to make the impossible possible.  I walked away from the experience learning that nothing is impossible and we are the only ones who limit our potential. It was a powerful and life changing experience.

Since the project, I've jumped into the emerging technology space of autonomous vehicles! I have spoken at conferences around the country about material developments for self-driving cars and led global initiatives for this industry, including creating a virtual reality sales and marketing tool for self-dring car materials. My passion for the future of mobility has taken me to Carnegie Mellon University to further my education in tech!
